Advanced Wheel Throwing Course

Do you already know the basics of wheel throwing and want to take your skills to the next level?

This advanced course is designed for those who want to build confidence and further refine their technique.

The course is held in a small group, allowing for individual guidance and a calm, focused working atmosphere. You will receive personal feedback and practical tips.

During the first session, we review the basics and explore throwing different shapes and sizes. In the second session, we focus on trimming and finishing your pieces.

The course is taught by ceramics artisan Sofia Simelius, who specializes in wheel throwing. Her clear and encouraging teaching style supports your development at your own pace.

Welcome to deepen your skills and discover new dimensions of wheel throwing!

The course is held in Finnish, but individual guidance is also available in Swedish and English.

Each participant will make 2–4 pieces. Works left at the studio will be fired by staff after the course and glazed with a glaze of your choice (several options available). A maximum of two pieces per participant will be fired. We reserve time at the end for shared cleaning.

Aprons are available at the studio, but we recommend wearing clothes and shoes that can get dirty. Long nails may make throwing more difficult.

The course fee includes:
materials, finishing of bases, glazing and firings, as well as coffee and cookies.
Price includes VAT 25.5%.

The course has space for four participants.

Registration is binding. If cancelled less than 24 hours before the course starts, the full fee will be charged. You may transfer your spot to another person.
