Throwing Larger  7 November, 10.00–16.00 & 9 November, 17.30–20.30

Would you like to learn how to  throwing larger pieces on the pottery wheel? This intensive two-day course is for those who already know the basics but want to learn how to create larger vases or bowls. During this workshop, you’ll learn how to throw two separate pieces which you then join together. This technique makes it easier to throw larger pieces. On Saturday, you’ll practise throwing larger pieces, and on Monday you can continue working on one of them. There’s an opportunity to decorate your pieces with engobes. The pieces will be glazed afterwards (two glaze options).

Aprons are available to borrow in the workshop, but it’s a good idea to wear clothes and shoes that can get muddy. Long nails can make throwing more difficult. Please bring something to eat for the lunch break on Saturday. There is a small fridge and a microwave in the workshop.

• Level: You know the basics in pottery throwing and can centre the clay on your own.
• Duration: 2 days. 6h+3h
