Sunday Ceramics

Learn the basics of working with clay over three afternoon sessions. During the course, we will cover pinching, slab building, and coil techniques as well as decorating with engobes. You can make, for example, a mug, pot, bowl, vase, or something entirely your own.

The course is suitable for both beginners and those who want to bring their ideas to life and improve their basic techniques. You may either work on one piece throughout the entire course or create a new piece each session.

The course is taught in Finnish, but guidance is also available in English. The course has space for 12 participants, with a minimum of 8.

The price includes:

• Materials: clay, glazes (fired and glazed by staff), and firings
• Instruction in different techniques and individual guidance
• Coffee/tea and cookies

Price includes VAT 25.5%.

The course consists of three lessons, each lasting two hours.

Aprons are available to borrow. Approximately four weeks after the course, you can collect your finished pieces.

Registration is binding. If the course is cancelled less than 24 hours before it starts or not cancelled at all, the full course fee will be charged. You may transfer your spot to another person free of charge if you are unable to attend.
